You know them days when you working on a project while feeling like a rebel n shit and out of nowhere start a completely new track in the same session, while not giving a fuck about how you gonna find the shit when you forgot you made it there? Exactly. After making some tracks on a random day, I suddenly felt the urge to make some Trap. Not your regular tho, all out guns blazing DOMINICAN Trap. So I instantly connected Godwonder and Dari Caramelo to drop some vocals and since I already was recording Frikitona you know she had to jump on it as well! Shit was fucking fun as fuck to make and Merengue styled Trap was a fact. #daddyyankeebarkstillinfinity

You see this concept goes way back. Like waaaay back in them Crunk days. 'member that? #OKKAAYYYYAHHH. I found myself experimenting with Merengue and Bachata tracks, making all kinds of weird hybrids. Super fun, but it wasn't until the boss called Lex Luger came to destroy the game, that it got me so inspired that I was like - Yo, I NEED DOMINICAN TRAP RIGHT NOW. IN MY HEADPHONES. ASAP. So I got them concepts outta the oude doos and next thing you know I had a shitload of Dominican Trap. So I put some of them on this Diplo & Friends mix I did in 2012. Just the thought of straight up just playing some old ass Bachata record on BBC Radio had me smiling.

That said, I fucking had it with the same shit. You go to Holland - there is Trap. You go to Puerto Rico - there is Trap. You go to France - there is Trap. You go to Scandinavia - there is Trap. You go to motherfucking China - there is Trap too. I bet that if they find life on Mars them aliens already tatted up rocking them Sosa dreads with the lean cup and Gucci belt. Seriously tho - you cannot escape the Kill Bill drop. IT WILL HAUNT YOU. FOREVER.

Talking about that - I'm having difficulty getting this fucking track outta my head. This Duitenkornuiten "Hoofdletter K" track pops up every day or so, that includes the sudden urge to whisper:
